Commending Billiken's Smokehouse.

WHEREAS, Billiken's Smokehouse, a beloved eating establishment bringing authentic, home-cooked barbecue to historic downtown Fredericksburg, has greatly served the community since 2014; and
WHEREAS, in the early years, Billiken's Smokehouse sold products at various venues, including the Lake Anna Winery in Spotsylvania County and Miller Farms Market in Orange County, and offered catering services at weddings, parties, and events around Lake Anna; and
WHEREAS, Billiken's Smokehouse eventually made its home in the Chimneys, a distinctive 18th century, Georgian-style home in downtown Fredericksburg that has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1975; and
WHEREAS, Billiken's Smokehouse operates a 1,000-gallon wood smoker to churn out mouth-watering ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and more on a daily basis to the delight of its devoted customers; and
WHEREAS, with stunning views and a warm and inviting atmosphere, Billiken's Smokehouse has quickly become a favored spot in Fredericksburg for family and friends to gather and share a meal; and
WHEREAS, Billiken's Smokehouse has an event space and large outdoor patio and offers both on-site and off-site catering services, enabling it to accommodate a wide array of celebrations and occasions; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Billiken's Smokehouse are the result of the unwavering dedication of its owners and staff, who have helped to make Fredericksburg a wonderful place to live, work, and dine; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Billiken's Smokehouse hereby be commended for its legacy of service to the Fredericksburg community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Billiken's Smokehouse as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the establishment's contributions to Fredericksburg and the Commonwealth.
