WHEREAS, Carrie Taylor Carter, an esteemed faith leader and beloved member of the Lancaster County community, died on October 15, 2025; and
WHEREAS, guided throughout her life by her faith, Carrie Carter enjoyed worship and fellowship with her community at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in White Stone; and
WHEREAS, as a deaconess at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Carrie Carter provided spiritual guidance and led ministries that helped members of the congregation grow in their faith; and
WHEREAS, Carrie Carter will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by numerous family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Carrie Taylor Carter, a cherished member of the Lancaster County community whose light brightened countless lives; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Carrie Taylor Carter as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for her memory.
