WHEREAS, Patricia Gallagher, an esteemed banker and senior vice president at Primis Bank, who has provided banking services to the communities of the Northern Neck and Central Virginia for 45 years, will retire in March 2026; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Gallagher began her distinguished banking career with Southside Bank and remained with the financial institution throughout her career as the bank transitioned to become Eastern Virginia Bankshares, SonaBank, and ultimately Primis Bank; and
WHEREAS, over the years, Patricia Gallagher has supported nearly every facet of her bank's operations, including customer and corporate services, marketing, finance, strategic planning, and business development; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Gallagher's tireless efforts and exceptional skills and expertise have proven vital to the success of her bank and have enhanced its ability to serve its customers and the community; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Gallagher has been a model of care, compassion, and professionalism throughout her illustrious banking career, and she has been a valued mentor to future generations of bankers and banking professionals; and
WHEREAS, beyond her work as a banker, Patricia Gallagher has made an impact through her leadership and support of various boards and organizations, including the Virginia Bankers Association's Government Relations Committee, the University of Richmond's Dean's Advisory Council, VCU Health, the Tappahannock Rotary Club, and local chambers of commerce; and
WHEREAS, with a deep sense of purpose and an unwavering commitment to the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations she serves, Patricia Gallagher has upheld the ideals of the community banking industry, earning the esteem and respect of all Virginians; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Patricia Gallagher, senior vice president at Primis Bank, on the occasion of her retirement; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Patricia Gallagher as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her contributions to the Commonwealth and best wishes for a joyful and fulfilling retirement.
