WHEREAS, Ronald William Buzzeo, an accomplished civil servant, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and beloved member of the Henrico County community, died on March 27, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Ronald “Ron” Buzzeo graduated from St. John's University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and practiced as a pharmacist for some time in New York; and
WHEREAS, Ron Buzzeo later worked in state and federal service for more than 20 years, ultimately serving as deputy director of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration; and
WHEREAS, as the president and treasurer of an international organization, Ron Buzzeo admirably represented the United States at several international and United Nations-sponsored forums; and
WHEREAS, following his government service, Ron Buzzeo established a successful consulting company and provided generous mentorship to many; and
WHEREAS, in his retirement, Ron Buzzeo relocated to Beaufort County, North Carolina, where he served his community as a member of the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Ron Buzzeo later relocated to Henrico County, where he had the opportunity to make many cherished memories with family and loved ones; and
WHEREAS, Ron Buzzeo will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Judith Ann; his children, Christopher, Scott, and William, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Ronald William Buzzeo; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Ronald William Buzzeo as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
