WHEREAS, Braden Thomas Cuttler, an active young community leader in Herndon and a beloved son, brother, and friend, died on December 18, 2025; and
WHEREAS, from a young age, Braden Cuttler cultivated strong interests in art, music, history, geography, outdoor adventures, and travel, which defined his personality throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, Braden Cuttler attended Herndon High School, where he was active in the marching band as a trombone player and drum major; he achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Scouts BSA Troop 1577; and
WHEREAS, Braden Cuttler completed an internship in the office of United States Senator Tim Kaine and continued his education at the University of Virginia, graduating with a bachelor's degree in international relations in 2020; and
WHEREAS, Braden Cuttler was passionate about making the world a better place and supported multiple organizations devoted to uplifting people in need or providing a voice for marginalized communities; and
WHEREAS, Braden Cuttler enjoyed fellowship and worship with the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of the vocal choir and the bell choir and served as a church elder; through the church, he completed mission trips to four states to renovate homes for people in need; and
WHEREAS, an avid traveler, Braden Cuttler relished every opportunity to spend time at his family's cabin in Pennsylvania and had visited 45 U.S. states and 25 countries around the world; and
WHEREAS, Braden Cuttler will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, Bill and Ann; his sister, Emily; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Braden Thomas Cuttler; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Braden Thomas Cuttler as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
