WHEREAS, Jennifer Ney, a training manager at Nestlé Purina PetCare, was named the 2025 Virginia “Woman of the Year” by the Virginia affiliate of Women in Manufacturing, an organization dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring women who are pursuing or have chosen a career in the manufacturing sector; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Ney has built a distinguished career in training and talent development, serving in training and leadership roles for more than two decades; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Ney is a valued member of the team at Nestlé Purina PetCare, a global leader in pet nutrition and manufacturer of widely recognized dog and cat food, treats, and litter products; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Ney oversees workforce development initiatives at the Nestlé Purina PetCare facility in King William County, where she leads a team responsible for comprehensive employee training and development programs spanning technical skills, leadership development, system implementation, compliance, and process improvement; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Ney has demonstrated exceptional leadership and provided sustained service as she has made meaningful contributions to advancing women in the manufacturing workforce across the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Virginia presented Jennifer Ney with its highest individual honor in recognition of her outstanding leadership, her professional excellence, and her commitment to the WiM Virginia mission; and
WHEREAS, through her active engagement and leadership within WiM Virginia, Jennifer Ney has served as a mentor, advocate, and role model for women pursuing and advancing careers in manufacturing, exemplifying the core values of leadership, service, and inspiration that define her award; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Jennifer Ney for being named the 2025 Virginia Woman of the Year by Women in Manufacturing Virginia; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Jennifer Ney as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her achievement and her contributions to manufacturing in the Commonwealth.
