WHEREAS, Jim and Jamie Ferguson, owners of JSF Farms, were named the winners of Greenville County's Peanut Yield Contest in 2025; and
WHEREAS, at JSF Farms, Jim and Jamie Ferguson join a distinguished line of peanut farmers in Greenville County who have helped to make the peanut industry one of the chief industries of the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Jim and Jamie Ferguson achieved their award-winning peanut yield through meticulous planning, the utilization of modern agricultural practices and techniques, and a deep understanding of the land they farm; and
WHEREAS, Jim and Jamie Ferguson's accomplishments are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and expertise and reflect the strength of Greenville County's longstanding agricultural traditions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Jim and Jamie Ferguson of JSF Farms hereby be commended for being named the 2025 winners of Greenville County's Peanut Yield Contest; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Jim and Jamie Ferguson as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for their achievement and best wishes for continued success.
