WHEREAS, Emily Barrows, M.D., a distinguished obstetrician and gynecologist with VCU Health in Richmond, has greatly served patients in the Greater Richmond area for several years; and
WHEREAS, Emily Barrows earned her medical degree and completed her residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine before joining VCU Health as an attending obstetrician and gynecologist; and
WHEREAS, from routine to complex cases, Emily Barrows works tirelessly to understand her patients' concerns and priorities as she determines the best options for their care; and
WHEREAS, as an obstetrician and gynecologist, Emily Barrows has walked numerous families through some of the most important moments of their lives, building many lasting and meaningful relationships with her patients; and
WHEREAS, Emily Barrows is specially trained in minimally invasive surgery, enhancing her ability to assist women with a variety of health conditions and needs; and
WHEREAS, in addition to practicing medicine, Emily Barrows serves as an assistant professor in the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine's Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, preparing future doctors for success in their careers while conducting research that will enrich the study of women's health; and
WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to her patients' well-being, Emily Barrows has embodied the ideals of the medical profession, earning the esteem and admiration of all Virginians; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Emily Barrows, M.D., hereby be commended for her service with VCU Health; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Emily Barrows, M.D., as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her contributions to women's health in the Commonwealth.
