WHEREAS, Amanda H. Ritter, M.D., an esteemed obstetrician and gynecologist with VCU Health in Richmond, has promoted female and maternal health in the Greater Richmond area for several years; and
WHEREAS, Amanda Ritter earned her medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine in 2012 and completed her internship and residency at VCU Medical Center before joining VCU Health as an attending obstetrician and gynecologist in 2016; she is a board certified fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology; and
WHEREAS, Amanda Ritter places great emphasis on her patients' comfort in her practice, taking the time to get to know and understand their problems and concerns and to provide helpful explanations of their treatment and care; and
WHEREAS, as an obstetrician and gynecologist, Amanda Ritter often takes care of patients during a transformative time in their lives, building a unique and cherished bond with many women and their families; and
WHEREAS, Amanda Ritter serves as an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology with the VCU School of Medicine, where she has been a valued mentor to her medical students and conducted meaningful research to further the study of women's health; and
WHEREAS, Amanda Ritter has advanced the practice of obstetrics and gynecology as a member of the Ware-Dunn Society, the VCU Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology's alumni society, and she presently serves on the planning committee of the organization's annual conference; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her exemplary care and service, Amanda Ritter has been regularly named a “Top Doc” by
Richmond magazine
and
Virginia Living
; and
WHEREAS, with great compassion, integrity, and concern for her patients' well-being, Amanda Ritter has made a positive and lasting impact on countless lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Amanda H. Ritter, M.D., hereby be commended for her legacy of service with VCU Health; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Amanda H. Ritter, M.D., as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her contributions to women's health in the Commonwealth.
