AN ACT Relating to exemption of certain personnel of the 1
department of social and health services from civil service; and 2
amending RCW 41.06.076. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
Sec. 1. RCW 41.06.076 and 2011 1st sp.s. c 43 s 402 are each 5
amended to read as follows: 6
In addition to the exemptions set forth in RCW 41.06.070, the 7
provisions of this chapter shall not apply in the department of 8
social and health services to the secretary ((;)), the secretary's 9
executive assistant, ((if any; not to exceed six assistant 10
secretaries, thirteen division directors, six regional directors; one 11
confidential secretary for each of the above-named officers; not to 12
exceed six bureau chiefs; and all superintendents of institutions of 13
which the average daily population equals or exceeds one hundred 14
residents)) the chief of staff and deputy chief of staff, assistant 15
secretaries, deputy assistant secretaries, senior directors, division 16
directors, assistant and deputy division directors, regional 17
administrators, district managers, and executive officers and 18
