AN ACT Relating to 3D-printed building construction; and adding a 1
new section to chapter 19.27 RCW. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:3
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 19.27 4
RCW to read as follows: 5
(1) Within the adoption cycle for the 2024 Washington state 6
residential code, the state building code council shall amend the 7
Washington state residential code to adopt the 2024 international 8
residential code appendix BM related to 3D-printed building 9
construction. 10
(2) Within the adoption cycle for the 2027 Washington state 11
residential code, the state building code council shall amend the 12
Washington state residential code to authorize 3D-printed building 13
construction in the main body of the code rather than in an appendix.14
