AN ACT Relating to funding the state toxicology laboratories to 1 process submissions for drug and alcohol impairment cases in a timely 2 manner; and adding a new section to chapter 43.43 RCW.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4 NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 43.43 5 RCW to read as follows: 6 The state patrol, subject to appropriation, must hire a 7 sufficient number of staff to ensure that the toxicology laboratory 8 or laboratories can process submissions for drug and alcohol 9 impairment cases within one week of the time the sample arrives at 10 the laboratory.
