AN ACT Relating to reducing the developmental disabilities 1
administration's no-paid services caseload services; and amending RCW 2
71A.10.100. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
Sec. 1. RCW 71A.10.100 and 2022 c 247 s 1 are each amended to 5
read as follows: 6
(((1))) The department shall hire two permanent, full-time 7
employees to regularly review and maintain the no-paid services 8
caseload. This includes, but is not limited to, updating the no-paid 9
services caseload to accurately reflect a current head count of 10
eligible individuals and identifying the number of individuals 11
contacted who are currently interested in receiving a paid service 12
from the developmental disabilities administration and if the 13
individual would like services now or within the next year. Beginning 14
December 1, 2022, the department shall annually report this 15
information to the governor and the appropriate committees of the 16
legislature. 17
(((2) A client on the no-paid services caseload shall receive 18
case resource management services. The case resource manager's duties 19
include: (a) Contacting and responding to the client to discuss the 20
client's service needs, and (b) explaining to the client the service 21
