AN ACT Relating to the snack bar liquor license; and amending RCW 1
66.24.350. 2
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:3
Sec. 1. RCW 66.24.350 and 2021 c 6 s 8 are each amended to read 4
as follows: 5
(((1))) There shall be a ((beer)) retailer's license to be 6
designated as a snack bar license to sell beer by the opened bottle 7
or can at retail, wine by the glass at retail, or both, for 8
consumption upon the premises only, such license to be issued to 9
places where the sale of beer or wine is not the principal business 10
conducted; fee ((one hundred twenty-five dollars)) $125 per year.11
(((2)(a) The annual fee in subsection (1) of this section is 12
waived during the 12-month period beginning with the second calendar 13
month after February 28, 2021, for:14
(i) Licenses that expire during the 12-month waiver period under 15
this subsection (2)(a); and16
(ii) Licenses issued to persons previously licensed under this 17
section at any time during the 12-month period prior to the 12-month 18
waiver period under this subsection (2)(a).19
(b) The waiver in (a) of this subsection does not apply to any 20
licensee that:21

(i) Had their license suspended by the board for health and 1
safety violations of state COVID-19 guidelines; or2
(ii) Received an order of immediate restraint or citation from 3
the department of labor and industries for allowing an employee to 4
perform work where business activity was prohibited in violation of 5
an emergency proclamation of the governor under RCW 43.06.220.6
(c) Upon request of the department of revenue, the board and the 7
department of labor and industries must both provide a list of 8
persons that they have determined to be ineligible for a fee waiver 9
under (a) of this subsection for the reasons described in (b) of this 10
subsection. Unless otherwise agreed, any list must be received by the 11
department of revenue no later than 15 calendar days after the 12
request is made.))13
