AN ACT Relating to promoting opportunities during the fédération 1
internationale de football association world cup 2026; adding a new 2
section to chapter 43.330 RCW; and providing an expiration date.3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 43.330 5
RCW to read as follows: 6
(1) For any state funds expended for activities related to the 7
2026 fédération internationale de football association (FIFA) world 8
cup games, including but not limited to promotion, marketing, and 9
fan-related opportunities, the department must ensure a material 10
allocation from the total state funds is made to provide access to 11
opportunities for low-income young people in central Washington and 12
across the state to experience this once in a lifetime event.13
(2) This section expires June 30, 2026. 14
