AN ACT Relating to water recreation facilities at short-term 1
rentals; adding a new section to chapter 43.70 RCW; and adding a new 2
section to chapter 64.37 RCW. 3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 43.70 5
RCW to read as follows: 6
(1) The department shall establish a user safety guide for water 7
recreation facilities. The user safety guide shall be publicly 8
available on the department's website. 9
(2) For purposes of this section, "water recreation facility" 10
means the same as in RCW 70.90.110. 11
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 64.37 12
RCW to read as follows: 13
(1) A local authority that issues business licenses for short-14
term rentals shall publish the user safety guide for water recreation 15
facilities established in section 1 of this act on the local 16
authority's website. 17
(2) A short-term rental that has a water recreation facility 18
shall have the user safety guide for water recreation facilities 19
