Faith Tarrant

WHEREAS, It is the tradition of the Washington State House of 1
Representatives to recognize excellence in every field of endeavor; 2
and 3
WHEREAS, Prairie High School's Faith Tarrant, through patience, a 4
belief in her abilities, and the support of her community, concluded 5
the 2024-2025 season with a historic and record-breaking victory in 6
the 3A state championship; and 7
WHEREAS, On February 21, 2025, Faith Tarrant, with her 114th 8
career pin, enshrined herself in Clark County history by becoming 9
Clark County's first four-time state wrestling champion; and10
WHEREAS, Faith Tarrant finishes as the 24th wrestler to win four 11
state titles in Washington State; and 12
WHEREAS, She concludes her high school career with a third 13
consecutive undefeated season, a 116 to 3 record, and ranked number 7 14
nationally in her weight class by USA Wrestling; and15
WHEREAS, Through her abilities on the wrestling mat and her 16
vocalness to encourage respect and hard work in her community, Faith 17
Tarrant not only cements herself a champion, but an inspiration to 18
future athletes; 19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State House 20
of Representatives congratulate Faith Tarrant on her extraordinary 21
victory at the state wrestling championship, and congratulate Coach 22
HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 2025-4628, by Representative McClintock

Vancouver for this accomplishment; and 2
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 3
immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of 4
Representatives to the Prairie High School's Wrestling Team and Head 5
Coach Rob Smith. 6
