WHEREAS, The Bremerton High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team 1
has demonstrated exceptional athleticism, teamwork, and dedication 2
throughout the season; and 3
WHEREAS, The team achieved an outstanding victory, securing the 4
2A State Championship, marking a historic moment for Bremerton High 5
School basketball; and 6
WHEREAS, The last Bremerton team to capture a state championship 7
was East High, which won back-to-back titles in 1973-74, making this 8
victory a long-awaited and well-earned achievement; and9
WHEREAS, The Bremerton High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team 10
finished the season with an impressive 22-5 win/loss record, 11
improving upon last year's remarkable 5th place finish; and12
WHEREAS, The championship-winning roster includes two freshmen, 13
five sophomores, three juniors, and two seniors, demonstrating a 14
bright future for the program; and 15
WHEREAS, In the championship game, the team secured a 74-53 16
victory, with an outstanding performance that included 34 points 17
scored by the tournament's most valuable player, with 27 points in 18
the first half, leading Bremerton to a commanding 43-29 halftime 19
lead; and 20
WHEREAS, The team's success is a testament to their hard work, 21
perseverance, and the invaluable leadership of their coaching staff, 22
who have guided these student-athletes to excellence; and23

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State House 5
of Representatives hereby commend and congratulate the Bremerton High 6
School Basketball Team for their extraordinary achievement in 7
securing the 2A State Championship, recognizing their dedication, 8
perseverance, and contributions to their school and community; and9
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 10
transmitted to the members of the Bremerton High School Basketball 11
Team, their coaching staff, and school administration as an 12
expression of admiration and celebration of their achievements.13
