WHEREAS, Hazel Eleanora Snow was born on a country farm five 1
miles outside of Menahga, Minnesota, on April 8, 1925, and has lived 2
through a century of incredible history, witnessing and adapting to 3
profound changes in the world while holding steadfast to the values 4
of faith, family, and community; and 5
WHEREAS, Hazel was united in marriage to Edward Snow on August 6
13, 1944, and together they built a loving and enduring family, now 7
spanning five generations, including four children, five 8
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-9
grandchildren, a living legacy of her love, wisdom, and devotion; and10
WHEREAS, Hazel dedicated her life to serving others in jobs 11
ranging from cannery worker to file clerk to nurse's aide, including 12
caring for seniors for 15 years at a nursing home, where she 13
tirelessly provided care, companionship, and dignity to residents, 14
ensuring they felt valued, respected, and loved in their final years; 15
and 16
WHEREAS, Her spirit of selfless giving extended beyond her 17
professional role, as she became a beacon of support to neighbors and 18
friends, always ready to lend a helping hand, a kind word, or a 19
listening ear to those in need; and 20
WHEREAS, Hazel has been faithful and steadfast in her faith, 21
dedicating herself to holding a church secretary position, singing in 22

the choir, and participating in Bible studies, exemplifying the 1
virtues of humility and devotion in every aspect of her life; and2
WHEREAS, Hazel has enriched her community not just through her 3
service but through her active participation in life itself, walking 4
with the North Valleys Walking Group three times a week, engaging in 5
Lifescapes programs at the local library, and preserving family and 6
community history through her heartfelt poetry and storytelling; and7
WHEREAS, Hazel's creativity and lifelong love of learning have 8
shone through her passion for painting, writing, crafting, and 9
solving puzzles, and she has shared her creative gifts by publishing 10
her poetry, "Paths Less Traveled: Anthology of Poetry";11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives 12
celebrate the extraordinary milestone of Hazel Eleanora Snow's 100th 13
birthday, honoring a woman whose century of life has been defined by 14
unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and a lifelong commitment to 15
serving others and community; and 16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be 17
immediately transmitted to Hazel Eleanora Snow. 18
