WHEREAS, It is the tradition of the Washington State legislature 1
to recognize and honor excellence in all fields and endeavors; and2
WHEREAS, The Apple Blossom Festival started in 1919 and is the 3
oldest major festival in Washington, attracting over 100,000 people 4
over 11 days to the Wenatchee area; and 5
WHEREAS, The Festival's mission is to provide an annual 6
family-oriented event that celebrates and showcases the people, 7
heritage, and fruit industry in that community; and8
WHEREAS, Each year, three young women are chosen as a queen and 9
two princesses to represent the Apple Blossom Festival in their royal 10
court; and 11
WHEREAS, The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival in Wenatchee 12
treats its royalty program as much more than a pageant, it is a 13
community ambassador and leadership program; and 14
WHEREAS, Brielle Precht of East Wenatchee was selected as queen, 15
and Kaylee Pearsons of East Wenatchee and Parker Averi of Wenatchee 16
were selected as princesses; and 17
WHEREAS, Brielle Precht attends Eastmont High School and 18
Wenatchee Valley College, where she serves on the school board, 19
competes in club rugby, and tutors local children with special needs. 20
After graduation Brielle plans to become an emergency room nurse, and 21
create an app for children with type 1 diabetes; and22

WHEREAS, Kaylee Pearsons attends Eastmont High School where she 1
is the President of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of 2
America (FCCLA), Secretary of National Honor Society, a Key Club 3
member, and tennis captain. Kaylee volunteers at memory care 4
facilities with her dog to visit residents, is actively involved in 5
serving kids at her church, and works for Wenatchee Parks and 6
Recreation during the summer. After graduation, Kaylee plans to 7
pursue neuroscience at Gonzaga University in Spokane; and8
WHEREAS, Parker Averi attends Wenatchee High School (WHS), where 9
she serves as the captain of the varsity track team and was 10
recognized by her teammates with the "most inspirational award." 11
Parker is the Vice President of Key Club, Culture Coordinator for 12
WHS, President of the Safe Space Club, and a member of the National 13
Honor Society. After graduation Parker plans to attend Montana State 14
University to study fish and ecology conservation with hopes of 15
returning to Wenatchee to work for the public utility district;16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives 17
honor and recognize the 2026 Apple Blossom Festival Royal Court for 18
excellent achievement in their studies, acts of service, sports, club 19
leadership, hobbies, and other pursuits; and 20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 21
immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk to Queen Brielle Precht, 22
Princess Kaylee Pearsons, Princess Parker Averi, and to the 23
organizers of the Apple Blossom Festival. 24
