WHEREAS, Dr. Paul R. Yost has distinguished himself as a leader 1
in the field of industrial–organizational psychology, serving with 2
distinction as an Associate Professor and Director of Industrial–3
Organizational Psychology Applied Learning and Development at Seattle 4
Pacific University; and 5
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost earned a Bachelor of Arts from Seattle Pacific 6
University in 1987, a Master of Arts from the University of Maryland 7
in 1992, and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1996, 8
bringing great academic rigor and experience to his professional 9
career; and 10
WHEREAS, Since 1999, Dr. Yost has served Seattle Pacific 11
University with honor, advancing scholarship, mentoring students, and 12
shaping the next generation of leaders; and 13
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost's research and professional focus encompasses 14
strategic talent management, leadership development, change 15
management, work–faith integration, and organizational strategy, 16
contributing significantly to both academic and professional 17
practice; and 18
WHEREAS, Prior to his academic career, Dr. Yost made meaningful 19
contributions to the private sector, including serving as a senior 20
research specialist in the technology industry, where he led 21
initiatives in talent management and executive assessment, and 22

conducting leadership development and research in the aerospace 1
industry; and 2
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost is a published author and co-author of 3
scholarly works in his field, which have informed leaders and 4
organizations across varied sectors; and 5
WHEREAS, Beyond his academic and professional achievements, Dr. 6
Yost has generously contributed his expertise as a project consultant 7
for Pivot Northwest Research, supporting research and innovation that 8
strengthens communities and organizations through applied leadership 9
insights; and 10
WHEREAS, Dr. Yost's sustained commitment to excellence in 11
education, research, community engagement, and leadership development 12
reflects great credit upon himself, Seattle Pacific University, and 13
the broader community; 14
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives 15
honor Dr. Paul R. Yost for his extraordinary contributions to the 16
field of industrial–organizational psychology, his profound impact on 17
students and leaders, and his dedicated service to education and 18
organizational excellence; and 19
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be 20
presented to Dr. Paul R. Yost as an expression of respect and 21
recognition of his exemplary achievements and service.22
