AN ACT Relating to background check system for firearms 1
transfers; repealing RCW 43.43.580, 43.43.585, 43.43.590, and 2
9.41.1135; repealing 2020 c 28 ss 5, 6, 7, and 8; repealing 2024 c 3
289 ss 4 and 6; repealing 2020 c 28 ss 9 and 10 (uncodified); and 4
declaring an emergency. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:6
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. The following acts or parts of acts are 7
each repealed:8
(1) RCW 43.43.580 (Firearms background check program — Automated 9
firearms background check system — Fee) and 2024 c 289 s 7, 2022 c 105 10
s 7, & 2020 c 28 s 1; 11
(2) RCW 43.43.585 (Washington background check advisory board) 12
and 2020 c 28 s 2; 13
(3) RCW 43.43.590 (State firearms background check system 14
account) and 2020 c 28 s 3; 15
(4) RCW 9.41.1135 (Firearms sales or transfers — Use of Washington 16
state patrol firearms background check system) and 2023 c 161 s 9 & 17
