AN ACT Relating to providing basic taxpayer fairness by delaying 1
department of revenue action with regard to tax changes until rule 2
making is finalized; and adding a new section to chapter 82.32 RCW.3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 82.32 5
RCW to read as follows: 6
The department shall suspend enforcement, collection, or both, 7
for any tax law change increasing the tax liability of taxpayers from 8
the date the tax takes effect to the first day of the calendar 9
quarter after the department finalizes rule making related to the tax 10
law change. 11
