AN ACT Relating to eliminating wait lists for the individual and 1
family services waiver by including estimated expenditures for the 2
waiver in maintenance level budgets; and amending RCW 71A.18.060.3
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:4
Sec. 1. RCW 71A.18.060 and 2022 c 219 s 3 are each amended to 5
read as follows: 6
(1) Expenditures for the individual and family services waiver 7
and the basic plus waiver administered under ((Title 71A RCW )) this 8
title must be considered by the governor and the legislature for 9
inclusion in maintenance level budgets beginning with the governor's 10
budget proposal submitted in December 2022 and funding for these 11
expenditures are subject to amounts appropriated for this specific 12
purpose. The department of social and health services must annually 13
submit a budget request for these expenditures. 14
(2) Beginning with the governor's budget proposal submitted in 15
December 2022 and within the department's existing appropriations, 16
the department of social and health services must annually submit a 17
budget request for expenditures for the number of individuals who are 18
expected to reside in state-operated living alternatives administered 19
by the developmental disabilities administration under ((Title 71A 20
RCW)) this title. 21
