WHEREAS, The Senate adopted permanent rules for the sixty-ninth 1
Legislature under Senate Resolution 8603, as amended by Senate 2
Resolutions 8638 and 8654; and 3
WHEREAS, The notice requirements set forth in Senate Rule 35 have 4
been satisfied; 5
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Rule 41 is amended as 6
follows: 7
Rule 41. The president shall appoint all conference, special, 8
joint and standing committees on the part of the senate. The 9
appointment of the conference, special, joint and standing committees 10
shall be confirmed by the senate. 11
In the event the senate shall refuse to confirm any conference, 12
special, joint or standing committee, such committee shall be elected 13
by the senate. 14
The following standing committees shall constitute the standing 15
committees of the senate: 16
