WHEREAS, On December 15, 2025, the University of Washington men's 1
soccer team won the National Collegiate Athletic Association 2
championship for the first time in the program's history with a 3
three-two overtime victory against North Carolina State with goals 4
scored by Zach Ramsey, Joe Dale, and Harrison Bertson; and5
WHEREAS, The Huskies won the national championship with a roster 6
that includes 19 of 29 players from Washington State, including 7
Tacoma, Spokane, Redmond, Seattle, Newcastle, Pullman, Everett, 8
Kirkland, Sunnyside, Bellevue, Woodinville, and Port Orchard; and9
WHEREAS, Player Zach Ramsey, a midfielder from Redmond, was named 10
the tournament's most outstanding offensive player and player Jadon 11
Bowton, the team's goalkeeper from Spokane, was named the most 12
outstanding defensive player; and 13
WHEREAS, Players Zach Ramsey, Jadon Bowton, Charlie Koskakoff, 14
Richie Aman, and Asher Hestad were named to the all-tournament team; 15
and 16
WHEREAS, The Huskies season success was facilitated by several 17
coaches, including head coach Jamie Clark who won top drawer soccer 18
coach of the year, and players such as, Richie Aman, one of three 19
finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, Harrison Bertos, Charlie 20
Kosakoff, Asher Hestad, and Osato Enabulele, who received the top 21
drawer soccer award; and 22

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Senate recognize 4
the success of the 2025 University of Washington men's soccer 5
team in winning the program's first National Collegiate Athletic 6
