WHEREAS, It is the policy of the Washington state legislature to 1
recognize and honor excellence in all fields and endeavors; and2
WHEREAS, The Apple Blossom Festival started in 1919 and is the 3
oldest major festival in Washington, attracting over 100,000 people 4
over 11 days to the Wenatchee area; and 5
WHEREAS, The Festival's mission is to provide an annual family 6
oriented event that celebrates and showcases the people, heritage, 7
and fruit industry in that community; and 8
WHEREAS, Each year three young women are chosen as a queen and 9
two princesses to represent the Apple Blossom Festival in their royal 10
court; and 11
WHEREAS, Brielle Precht of East Wenatchee was selected as queen, 12
and Kaylee Pearsons of East Wenatchee and Parker Averi of Wenatchee 13
were selected as princesses; and 14
WHEREAS, Brielle Precht attends Eastmont High School and 15
Wenatchee Valley College, where she serves on the school board, 16
competes in club rugby, and tutors local children with special needs, 17
and after graduation Brielle plans to become an ER nurse and start an 18
app for children with type 1 diabetes; and 19
WHEREAS, Kaylee Pearsons attends Eastmost High School, where she 20
is FCCLA President, the National Honor Society secretary, a Key Club 21
member, and a tennis captain, she volunteers at memory care 22
facilities with her dog to visit residents, is actively involved in 23

serving kids at her church, and works for Wenatchee Parks and 1
Recreation in the summer, and after graduation Kaylee plans to 2
pursue neuroscience at Gonzaga University in Spokane; and3
WHEREAS, Parker Averi attends Wenatchee High School, where 4
she is the captain of the varsity track team where she won the 5
"most inspirational award," the vice president of Key Club, the 6
culture coordinator for Wenatchee High School, the president of 7
Safe Space Club, and a member of the National Honor Society, and 8
after graduation Parker plans to attend Montana State University 9
to study fish and ecology conservation with hopes to move back 10
to Wenatchee and work for the P.U.D.; 11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Senate honor and 12
recognize the 2026 Apple Blossom Festival Royal Court for their 13
excellent achievements in their studies, acts of service, 14
sports, hobbies, and other pursuits; and 15
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be 16
immediately transmitted by the Secretary of the Senate to Queen 17
Brielle Percht, Princess Kaylee Pearsons, Princess Parker Averi, 18
and to the organizers of the Apple Blossom Festival.19
