WHEREAS, Young people across Washington state represent the 1
future of our communities, bringing creativity, resilience, and 2
leadership to every corner of the state; and 3
WHEREAS, Scholars participating in the Boundless Washington, 4
Compassion Scholars, and Washington World Fellows programs 5
administered by the Washington State Leadership Board (WSLB) have 6
demonstrated exceptional dedication to personal growth, leadership 7
development, civic engagement, and community service; and8
WHEREAS, The achievements of these young leaders exemplify the 9
power of investing in education, leadership training, and inclusive 10
opportunities, inspiring their peers and uplifting communities 11
locally, statewide, and globally; and 12
WHEREAS, Since 2022, program participants have collectively 13
earned more than $1.5 million in grants and scholarships for 14
postsecondary education and activities, which will yield long-term 15
benefits for the State of Washington by cultivating a highly skilled, 16
innovative, and civically engaged workforce that strengthens the 17
state's economic growth and competitiveness; and 18
WHEREAS, Through the support of their families and their own hard 19
work, determination, and commitment to making a difference, these 20
scholars embody the values of service, leadership, and perseverance, 21
setting an example for generations to come; 22

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State 1
of Washington honor and celebrate the scholars who have 2
participated in the Washington State Leadership Board programs 3
for their extraordinary contributions, leadership, and 4
dedication to shaping a brighter future for Washington state and 5
beyond. 6
