WHEREAS, Senator Judy Warnick has devoted nearly two decades to 1
exemplary service in the Washington State Legislature, first elected 2
to the House of Representatives in 2007 and later to the Senate in 3
2015; and 4
WHEREAS, She quickly demonstrated her leadership and ability to 5
guide and inspire her colleagues, serving first as Vice Chair of the 6
Senate Republican Caucus beginning in 2017 and later assuming the 7
role of Chair in 2021, while faithfully representing the constituents 8
of the 13th Legislative District as a model of civic advocacy; and9
WHEREAS, Throughout her legislative career, Senator Warnick has 10
been widely recognized for her stewardship of agriculture and natural 11
resource policy, assuming the chairmanship of the Senate Agriculture, 12
Water & Rural Economic Development Committee upon entering the Senate 13
in 2015 and championing the interests of farmers, ranchers, small 14
business owners, and families who form the backbone of Washington's 15
agricultural economy, bringing rural voices to Olympia; and16
WHEREAS, Having grown up on a dairy farm and later operating a 17
small farm and business of her own, Senator Warnick has brought 18
invaluable firsthand experience to her work in the Legislature, 19
grounding her decisions in practical knowledge and thoughtful insight 20
that support agricultural sustainability, rural economic opportunity, 21
water resource management, and small business growth; and22

WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has also provided leadership 1
through service on key committees and boards, including Ways & 2
Means, Human Services, Higher Education & Workforce Development, 3
the Joint Long-Term Services & Supports Trust Commission, and 4
numerous other task forces and advisory bodies, advancing 5
legislation related to public safety, workforce training, 6
economic development, and water security; and 7
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has demonstrated a long-standing 8
commitment to strengthening communities through her active 9
involvement in organizations, such as 4-H, the Grant County 10
Fair, Backcountry Horsemen of Washington, and several other 11
civic and professional associations; and 12
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's long-standing passion for women 13
empowerment has not faded since her prestigious recognition as a 14
Woman of Achievement three decades ago, and she continues to 15
drive social change today with her tireless advocacy for youth 16
and women's sports, as well as her dedication to protecting 17
safety, including efforts to promote fairness, safety, and 18
opportunity in women's athletics, reflecting a commitment to 19
expanding opportunities for future generations; and20
WHEREAS, Senator Warnick's leadership and accomplishments 21
have been recognized through numerous honors, including 22
Legislator of the Year awards from the Association of Washington 23
Business, Cattle Producers of Washington, and the Washington 24
State Potato Commission, as well as Friend of the Farm Bureau, 25
NFIB's Guardian of Small Business, Moses Lake Boys and Girls 26
Club's Champion of Youth, the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce's 27
President's Award, and other honors reflecting her enduring 28
impact on the state's communities, economy, and public policy; 29

WHEREAS, Senator Warnick has earned the respect of 31
colleagues across the aisle for her collaborative approach, 32
principled leadership, and steadfast dedication to the people of 33
Washington; 34
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State 35
Senate honor, celebrate, and express its deep appreciation for 36
Senator Judy Warnick's distinguished service and her many 37
