An Act
to create
111.045 of the statutes;
relating to:
prohibiting nonunion

employees from receiving nonnegotiated benefits from union.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, employees who are not paying members of a union, but who work in a workplace covered by a collective bargaining unit, are entitled to benefits collectively bargained by the labor organization for the collective bargaining unit. This bill clarifies that such employees are not entitled to benefits provided by a labor organization that are not collectively bargained.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

Benefits provided by labor organization.
An employee who does

not pay any dues, fees, assessments, or other charges or expenses required of
6
members of, or employees represented by a labor organization, is not entitled to any

benefits provided directly by a labor organization to members that are not
2
collectively bargained by the labor organization.
