An Act
relating to:
funding for passenger rail operations and making an

appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill increases the appropriation to the Department of Transportation for passenger rail operations by $10,000,000 for the purpose of supporting passenger rail operations and by $5,200,000 to fund ongoing passenger rail expansion feasibility studies.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

In the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department

of transportation under s. 20.395 (2) (cr), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2026-27

is increased by $10,000,000 to support passenger rail operations and by $5,200,000

to fund ongoing passenger rail expansion feasibility studies.
