Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill fixes errors and clarifies intent in
2025 Wisconsin Act 15
. The bill changes from 2026 to 2025 the year in an statutory provision so that it is consistent with the date on which the provision takes effect. The bill corrects an errant cross-reference in an effective date provision to reflect changes made by Senate Amendment 26 to Senate Substitute Amendment 2 to Senate Bill 45, which was adopted. Finally, the bill increases the amount appropriated to the Joint Committee on Finance for supplemental appropriations by $2,600,000 for fiscal year 2025-26 to supplement the appropriation to the Department of Transportation for the purpose of the public protective services hearing protection program.
