proclaiming November 2025 to be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness

Month.

Whereas, this year, an estimated 67,440 adults in the United States will be
4
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; and

Whereas, it is estimated that 51,980 deaths from pancreatic cancer will occur
6
this year; and

Whereas, pancreatic cancer is the tenth most common cancer in women and
8
the thirteenth most common cancer in men; and

Whereas, this year, pancreatic cancer will cause an estimated 1,060 deaths in

Wisconsin alone; and

Whereas, in 2025, pancreatic cancer may be the third-leading cause of cancer
12
deaths in the United States and the second-leading cause of cancer deaths in
13
Wisconsin; and

Whereas, the good health and well-being of the residents of Wisconsin are

directly enhanced by increased awareness about pancreatic cancer and dedicated
2
research into early detection, causes, and effective treatments; now, therefore, be it

senate
concurring, That
the Wisconsin

Legislature proclaims November 2025 to be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month
5
and encourages all citizens to increase awareness of and education regarding
6
pancreatic cancer and services for pancreatic cancer patients in Wisconsin.
