establishing an annual Education Foundation Day in Wisconsin.

Whereas, over 350 education foundations inspire and empower educators
3
across our state to provide extraordinary learning opportunities for our students
4
who attend public schools; and

Whereas, education foundations seek to create a community of energized
6
educators who invest in the future of our children by enhancing educational
7
experiences and achievement; and

Whereas, education foundations support programming that cannot be funded
9
by traditional budgetary resources in their respective school districts; and

Whereas, education foundations champion our public schools by providing
11
direct support, promoting community connection, and advocating for public dollars
12
in our schools; and

Whereas, education foundations help remove barriers to learning by
14
supporting programs that meet students’ academic, social, and basic needs; and

Whereas, education foundations strengthen connections between schools,

local businesses, and community organizations to expand opportunities for

students; and

Whereas, education foundations build endowments and legacy funds that

allow communities to invest in public education for generations to come; now,

concurring, That
the Wisconsin

State Legislature establishes an Education Foundation Day on May 13, 2026, in
