An Act

to amend
119.04 (1);
to create
20.255 (2) (dx) and 115.369 of the

statutes;
relating to:
grants to school districts for safe transportation for

school-sponsored events and making an appropriation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides $500,000 in each of fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27 to the Department of Public Instruction to award grants to school districts to provide a safe method of transportation for high school pupils attending a school-sponsored event. DPI may not award a grant under the bill after the end of the 2026-27 school year.
For further information see the state and local fiscal estimate, which will be printed as an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
