An Act

to repeal
252.03 (2j) of the statutes;
relating to:
local health officer
2
authority to mandate business closure to control communicable disease.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, a local health officer may not issue a mandate to close a business to control an outbreak or epidemic of communicable disease for longer than 30 days unless the governing body of the political subdivision in which the order is intended to apply approves an extension, which may not exceed 30 days. This bill eliminates those restrictions.

Section

.
252.03 (2j) of the statutes is repealed.
