Whereas, long ago in Galilee, the angel Gabriel told the Virgin Mary that she

would give birth to a son named Jesus; and

Whereas, Mary and her husband, Joseph, traveled to Bethlehem in Judea, and

while there, the time came for Mary to have her child; and
