Relating to:
congratulating the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh women’s

volleyball team for winning the 2025 NCAA Division III National

Championship.

Whereas, the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Titans women’s volleyball
5
team won the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National Championship,
6
making program history by claiming the team’s first national title; and

Whereas, the Titans completed the national tournament with a flawless
8
performance, winning all six matches and not dropping a single set, including a
9
straight-sets victory in the championship match against the University of La Verne
10
Leopards; and

Whereas, the Titans concluded their 2025 season with an outstanding 34–3
12
overall record and an undefeated conference record; and

Whereas, this championship marks the first national title in program history

for the UW–Oshkosh women’s volleyball team and represents the university’s 51st
2
national championship overall; and

Whereas, the success of the Titans extends beyond athletic excellence, as the
4
team was previously honored in 2024 with collective academic achievement
5
recognition (with a 3.6 team grade point average) by the American Volleyball
6
Coaches Association All-Academic team; and

Whereas, the dedication, teamwork, discipline, and academic commitment
8
demonstrated by the players and coaching staff reflect positively on the university,
9
the city of Oshkosh, the Fox Valley region, and the state of Wisconsin; now,

therefore, be it

assembly
concurring, That
the Wisconsin

Legislature hereby congratulates the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Titans
13
women’s volleyball team, along with its coaches and staff and the university
14
community, for winning the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball National
15
Championship; and, be it further

Resolved, That
the legislature commends the Titans for their exceptional
17
performance, sportsmanship, and academic dedication; and, be it further

Resolved, That
the legislature extends its gratitude to the University of
19
Wisconsin–Oshkosh for bringing pride and positive recognition to the city of
20
Oshkosh, the Fox Valley region, and the state of Wisconsin; and, be it further

Resolved, That
a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the University of
22
Wisconsin–Oshkosh, the UW–Oshkosh women’s volleyball team, and the
1
UW–Oshkosh athletic department as an expression of esteem and recognition from
2
the State of Wisconsin.
