congratulating the Wauwatosa West Boys Basketball Team on their

2025 Division II State Basketball Championship.

Whereas, the Wauwatosa West Trojans Boys Basketball Team won the 2025

Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Basketball Championship; and

Whereas, the Wauwatosa West Boys Basketball Team won the first state

championship in program history, defeating Racine Park 60-57 in a Division II
7
overtime nail-biter; and

Whereas, the Wauwatosa West Boys Basketball Team never gave up on

themselves and remained mentally tough through the challenges of the season,

winning over some crosstown rivals in their pursuit of a first-ever state

championship; and

Whereas, the Wauwatosa West Boys Basketball Team’s ability to draw on their

deep bench, work ethic, and perseverance achieved a 14-game win streak; and

Whereas, the Wauwatosa West Boys Basketball program displayed selfless

teamwork in achieving an overall record of 24-6 for the season; and

Whereas, Wauwatosa West Trojans Coach Christopher Newbauer and the

boys basketball team have achieved a well-earned winning season and lasting

legacy at Wauwatosa West; now, therefore, be it
