recognizing National Propane Day.

Whereas, propane has been helping Americans meet their energy needs for

more than 100 years; and

Whereas, propane is a clean-burning and low-carbon fuel that provides critical
5
energy to residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers across
6
Wisconsin and ensures a variety of market sectors can flourish; and

Whereas, propane is a nontoxic and federally designated clean alternative fuel
8
that reduces emissions and improves air quality; and

Whereas, the United States is the world’s leading propane producer, and
10
propane supports energy security, reliability, and resilience and helps consumers
11
meet their unique heating and energy needs; and

Whereas, Wisconsin's propane industry heats 278,175 homes, employs 1,360
13
people, and contributes over $1 billion in state economic activity annually; and

Whereas, National Propane Day is celebrated across the country on October 7,

and this legislature recognizes and celebrates National Propane Day and the
2
important contributions made by the state’s propane industry; now, therefore, be it

concurring, That
the Wisconsin

Legislature recognizes October 7, 2025, as National Propane Day in Wisconsin to
5
highlight propane as a fuel source and the propane industry’s important role in
6
helping Wisconsinites meet their unique energy needs.
