Summary/Major Elements: Previous legislation had imposed an additional cigarette tax and had specified that a portion of that tax would flow to the general fund until June 30, 2006, but had not specified where that portion would flow after that date. This bill removes that date limitation.
WORKING DRAFT ORIGINAL HOUSE BILL NO. 0027 ENROLLED ACT NO. 8, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FIFTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WYOMING 2005 GENERAL SESSION AN ACT relating to cigarette tax; repealing a date limitation for distributions of certain cigarette taxes to the general fund; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 39 ‑ 18 ‑ 111(c) is amended to read: 39 ‑ 18 ‑ 111. Distribution. (c) Until June 30, 2006, T he revenue received from the tax imposed by W.S. 39-18-104(a)(ii) and (b)(ii) shall be deposited in the general fund. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2005.
