WORKING DRAFT 2005 STATE OF WYOMING 05LSO-0263 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0030 Motor vehicles-notice of airbag deployment. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Brechtel A BILL for AN ACT relating to motor vehicles; requiring motor vehicle dealers to inform purchasers if the safety air bags in a vehicle being sold by the dealer have been deployed as specified; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 31 ‑ 16 ‑ 108(a) by creating a new paragraph (xiii) is amended to read: 31 ‑ 16 ‑ 108. Unlawful acts. (a) No vehicle dealer or other person required to be licensed under this act, or any salesperson or agent shall: (xiii) Sell a new or used vehicle in this state, if any of the vehicle's safety air bags have been deployed, unless the dealer or other person licensed under this act first informs the consumer of the deployment and whether the deployed air bags have been replaced. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2005. (END) 1 HB0030
