Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

Exemptions; veterans.

(a)

The following persons who are bona fide Wyoming residents for at least three (3) years at the time of claiming the exemption are entitled to receive the tax exemption provided by W.S. 39

105(a)(xxiv):

(vi)

An honorably discharged veteran who served in the military service of the United States, who is a bona fide Wyoming resident for at least three (3) years and who served in one (1) of the below listed military operations during the specified period and who was awarded the armed forces expeditionary medal, the

service medal
, the Korean service defense medal, the Kosovo campaign medal, the global war on terrorism expeditionary medal
or other authorized service or campaign medal:

(R)

Afghanistan
, Iraq
and other locations -– Operation Enduring Freedom
, Iraqi Freedom
and Operation Noble Eagle (Homeland Security) – from October 7, 2001 to a date to be determined by the department of revenue.

Section 2.

This act is effective January 1, 2005.
