A BILL

for

AN ACT relating to alcoholic beverages; modifying the population formula for retail liquor licenses and malt beverage permits; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

201(d)(intro), (ii), (iii) and by creating a new paragraph (iv) is amended to read:

Retail liquor licenses and malt beverage permits; population formulas; fees.

(d)

Effective January 1,
1986
2006
, the number of retail liquor licenses issued shall be based on the following population formula:

(ii)

Not more than one (1) additional license for each additional five hundred (500) population or major fraction thereof in incorporated cities or towns up to a population of nine thousand five hundred (9,500);
and

(iii)

Not more than one (1) additional license for each additional full three thousand (3,000) population over nine thousand five hundred (9,500)
.

and up to fifty thousand (50,000); and

(iv)

Not more than one (1) additional license for each additional full two thousand (2,000) population over fifty thousand (50,000).

Section 2.
This act is effective January 1, 2006.
