WORKING DRAFT 2005 STATE OF WYOMING 05LSO-0431 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0154 Wyoming youth recreation account. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Zwonitzer and Robinson and Senator(s) Decaria and Sessions A BILL for AN ACT relating to a youth recreation account; creating a youth recreation account as specified; specifying use of the account; requiring an annual report; providing an appropriation; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. (a) There is appropriated one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) from the general fund to a separate account which shall be referred to as the Wyoming youth recreation account. (b) The monies deposited into the Wyoming youth recreation account shall be administered by the governor to provide grants to fund projects which benefit recreation, cultural enrichment and quality of life of Wyoming's teenage population. The governor shall establish criteria for awarding of grants under this act. Grant recipients under this section may include local governments, community-based organizations, schools and other nonprofit organizations as appropriate. (c) Of the monies deposited in the account, ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) may be used by the governor's office to promote public awareness of the availability of grants from the account. (d) By December 1, 2005, the governor shall provide a report to the joint appropriations interim committee specifying a detailed list of the projects funded and the amount provided for each project from the Wyoming youth recreation account. Section 2. This act is effective immediately upon co m pletion of all acts necessary for a bill to become law as provided by Article 4, Section 8 of the Wyoming Constit u tion. (END) 1 HB0154
