Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Order of protection; contents; remedies; order not to affect title to property; conditions.

(k)

The order shall specifically state the period of time for which it is effective, as determined pursuant to W.S. 35

Service of order; duration and extension of order; violation; remedies not exclusive.

(b)

An order of protection granted by the court shall be effective for a fixed period of time not to exceed
three (3) months
one (1) year as determined by the court
. The order may be extended
repetitively
once
for good cause upon motion of the petitioner for
an
additional
periods
period
of time not to exceed
three (3) months each
one (1) year as determined by the court
. The filing of an action for divorce shall not supersede an order of protection granted under this act.

Section 2.

This act is effective July 1, 2005.
