2005 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT relating to public lands; increasing the amount of the emergency fire suppression account as specified; and providing for an effective date.

Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

Participation by counties; assessments; withdrawal from participation; forfeiture of assessments for failure to pay assessments.

(d)

In the event the balance in the account exceeds
three million dollars ($3,000,000.00)
five million dollars ($5,000,000.00)
on July 1 in any year, no assessment shall be charged to participating counties for that fiscal year or for any subsequent year until the balance in the account is reduced to an amount less than
two million four hundred thousand dollars ($2,400,000.00)
four million dollars ($4,000,000.00)
in which event assessments shall again be charged to participating counties beginning in the following fiscal year.

Section 2.
This act is effective July 1, 2005.
