WORKING DRAFT 2005 STATE OF WYOMING 05LSO-0362 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0241 Distribution of funds to cities, towns and counties. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Miller, Latta, McOmie and Walsh A BILL for AN ACT relating to administration of government; providing for a distribution of funds to cities, towns and counties; providing an appropriation; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. (a) There is appropriated from the budget reserve account to the office of the state treasurer forty-nine million three hundred seventy-eight thousand two hundred dollars ($49,378,200.00) to be distributed to cities, towns and counties on October 1, 2005. From this distribution: (i) Each city and each town shall receive an amount equal to one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each person residing within the corporate limits of the city or town; (ii) Each county shall receive an amount equal to one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each person residing within the county and not within the corporate limits of a city or town. (b) For purposes of this act the population of each city, town and county shall be determined by resort to the 2000 federal census. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2005. (END) 1 HB0241
