WORKING DRAFT 2005 STATE OF WYOMING 05LSO-0406 HOUSE BILL NO. HB0268 Parole eligibility. Sponsored by: Representative(s) Watt A BILL for AN ACT relating to parole; modifying restrictions on parole eligibility; and providing for an effective date. Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming: Section 1. W.S. 7 ‑ 13 ‑ 402(b) is amended to read: 7 ‑ 13 ‑ 402. General powers and duties of board; eligibility for parole; immunity. (b) A prisoner is not eligible for parole if he has been convicted of a crime committed while under sentence in an institution or while subject to trial on a criminal charge, if any element of the crime includes : (i) Made Making an assault with a deadly weapon upon any officer, employee or inmate of any institution; or (ii) Escaped, attempted Escaping, attempting to escape or assisted assisting others to escape from any institution. Section 2. This act is effective July 1, 2005. (END) 1 HB0268
