Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Wyoming:

Section 1.

Vocational education; qualification and limitations on funding eligibility; adjustment to foundation program formula.

(d)

An amount shall be computed for each high school within each school district in accordance with the following:

The amount computed under paragraph (ii) of this subsection shall be multiplied by the vocational education amount contained within the teacher salaries and benefits component of the prototypical school model for grades nine (9) through twelve (12), as specified under W.S. 21

309(m)(ii)(C), as recalibrated for the 2001-2002 school year

, subject to reallocation limitations imposed by the education resource block grant model for school year 2001-2002;

Section 2.

Section 1 of this act eliminates a limitation imposed upon the reinsertion of the vocational education amount within the teacher salaries and benefits component of the education resource block grant model following application of the weight factor prescribed by W.S. 21

‑
329(d)(ii). By elimination of this limitation, the legislature recognizes the adjustment exceeds the requirements necessary to ensure the education resource block grant model is cost-based. The modification to this adjustment as authorized under section 1 of this act shall be applied commencing with school year 2005-2006 computations and each school year thereafter until the adjustment is recalibrated in accordance with law.

Section 3.

This act is effective July 1, 2005.
